Movies made in Iowa

The natural beauty of the Iowa landscape has made it a sought-after backdrop for several movie and TV projects. And if beauty alone isn’t enough incentive, the Iowa Legislature has a tax credit package to entice movie-makers to film here.

In the last few years, the Iowa Film Office reports the following film projects have been made here:

• 2006, “The Final Season,” Cedar Rapids
• 2006, “The Hideout,” Davenport
• 2007, “Sugar,” Davenport
• 2007, “Duck Farm No. 13,” McGregor
• 2008, “South Dakota,” Earlham
• 2008, “Peacock,” Greenfield
